Tony Leung

Senior Pastor & Bilingual Pastor

In 2017, Tony earned his D. Min. from Truth Theological Seminary in Los Angeles. He also has two master's degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri back in 1989. Over the past thirty plus years of ministry in various churches across the country, he is honored to serve many areas locally and globally. He is married to Ying, and they live in Los Angeles with three grown children and two grandchildren presently.​

Tony feels blessed and honored to serve as a senior pastor for three congregations of multiple languages: English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He is challenged to utilize two cultures in order to reach the emerging generation. He wants to help people to know and experience God through prayer, worship, and learning from the Word of God. By God’s grace, he hopes people would find and know the Lord Jesus Christ through the church.

Paul Yang

Mandarin Pastor

Paul has been serving at CBCOC as the Mandarin pastor since November 2018. He was born in China and served in the government and various law firms as a legal advisor and lawyer for 11 years. Then, he and his wife immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, and in the following year, both of them were baptized. Paul was called to ministry in 2002, and he enrolled in Logos Evangelical Seminary. He earned his M.Div. and became a full-time Mandarin pastor in First Evangelical Church of Diamond Bar. He has also enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry (D. Min) program part-time and has begun to write his dissertation.

He and his wife, Esther, have one daughter and two sons. In his free time, Paul enjoys reading, cooking, watching movies, and hanging out with his family. Paul is very grateful for his calling to be a servant of God. He is excited to teach God's Word to the church and to make disciples of Jesus.

Ryan Cheung

English Pastor

Ryan has been serving at CBCOC as the English pastor since Fall 2015. Before pastoring at CBCOC, Ryan earned his M.Div and Th.M degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He is privileged to be married to his college sweetheart, Natalie, and father to five energetic and rambunctious children. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys following Bay Area sports, frequenting good eats, and having people over to hang with the family. 

Ryan feels blessed and privileged to have been appointed to shepherd the flock at CBCOC. He considers the responsibilities of ministry of the word and prayer (Acts 6:4) as weighty responsibilities. It is his hope and prayer that the church can grow in its love for, worship of, and commitment to Christ and his mission.     

 

Daniel Chan

Cantonese & English (Bilingual) Pastor

Rev. Daniel Chan graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with degrees in MA Church Music and Master of Divinity.  He did post graduate studies with Dr. Steven W. Smith and Dr. David Allen in Text Driven Preaching.  He served in Mandarin Baptist Church of Los Angeles as Mandarin Discipleship pastor and Cantonese lead pastor for 11 years.

Since then, he has taught Text Driven Preaching and Baptist Heritage in both the Gateway Bilingual program and Southwestern Seminary Chinese Language Program.  He has also served in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as the Associate Director of the Chinese Language program before entering into his current pastoral ministry at Chinese Baptist Church of Orange County.

Eugene Kim

Minister of Discipleship & Missions

Eugene was born in Chicago, but grew up in Los Angeles rooting for the Lakers and the Dodgers. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at UC Irvine and worked in the nuclear & petroleum industries for a number of years. His formative years in the faith were at CBCOC as a college student and then as a young professional. He was discipled by a number of caring members at CBCOC and also met his best friend and loving wife, Anna. Eugene later earned an M.A. in Christian Education at Talbot Seminary, and had served as the Youth Minister for 20 years. 

Eugene and Anna live in Brea with their three daughters and three dogs. The Lord has brought Eugene and Anna through many trials and challenges such as enduring the loss of a loved one to cancer, raising a child with special needs, and adopting a child through the foster care system. Through it all, the Lord continues to be with them in a faithful, loving, and blessed way.
